“Varuni Webb is a seasoned senior executive, with 25 years of experience in the financial services sector. She has extensive experience leading global business, operational, risk and regulatory transformation for Financial Markets, Wealth Management and Asset Management, working in a variety of transformation roles in London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore for financial institutions including Barclays Capital, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Standard Chartered. Drivers for these large-scale transformation programmes have ranged from revenue enhancement, risk mitigation and regulatory compliance, to defining new group-wide target operating models, process simplification and digitisation.

Currently, in her role as the Head of Strategic Regulatory and Risk Initiatives at Standard Chartered Bank, Varuni has co-founded and implemented the group-wide Managing Regulatory Change Initiative, which has introduced an end-to-end framework and target operating model for managing regulatory change within Standard Chartered. Her team leads the implementation of any large-scale or complex regulatory obligations where the impact is felt bankwide.

Varuni has a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a recent Chief Sustainability Officer accreditation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)”
